Max Hjort

Hello! I'm Max! (They/Them) I'm a Game Design student at Futuregames Stockholm and I am currently looking for an internship as a Technical / Systems Designer. My strongest skills in game development are quick iteration and prototyping, building scalable and modular systems, and collaboration.

I was born and raised in Stockholm and I've been enjoying video games for almost as long as I can remember. Throughout my life I have always looked for new ways to be creative, and I found my passion lies in game design and development. On the way I picked up a few other relevant skills to add to my toolkit, such as music production and audio design, along with a bit of 3D modeling and animation.

My design philosophy around making games is focused on creating a virtual playground and providing the player with a large toolkit to play with. I want to emphasize player agency and I love seeing emergent gameplay come from multiple systems and mechanics interacting with each other.

Fun facts: I love horror movies, I like to produce music in my spare-time, and my all-time favorite games are Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords.
